We set a strategic plan to improve the university performance in various sectors, particularly those areas which are directly related to teaching, learning and research. One of our plans is to gain internationally recognised accreditation.

We Use Accreditation as Quality Assurance
We use accreditation to assure the quality of our educational institution and programs to:

• Verify that learners’ educational experience meets the global standard for technical education in their profession.
• Enhances learners’ employment opportunities — employers require graduation from an accredited program.

Reason for Using Accreditation
Accreditation tells to our students and professionals that our programs:

• Has received international recognition of its quality.
• Promotes ‘best practices’ in education.
• Directly involves faculty and staff in self-assessment and continuous quality improvement processes.
• Is based on ‘learning outcomes’ rather than ‘teaching inputs’ Can easily determine the acceptability of transfer credits.

Using Systems Thinking for our strategic plan
1. Systems thinking helps us understand the complicated system by learning how the different
parts of the university system connect to each other. This approach is meant to analyse:
a. How to change the behavior of the university system to improve the efficiency of its different parts.
b. How all activities of the many parts of the university should be coordinated to optimise the whole system.
2. The systems approach is the idea of looking at the university as a collection of systems that create a whole and examining the relationships between those systems to determine how they affect the whole.
a. How the university subsystems (i.e. Registration department) fit the needs of the largersystem.

Embedding Quality Culture in Higher Education
Our quality assurance policy is meant to realise a number of benefits, such as: (i) Help EAU to know its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat. (ii) Initiate innovative and modern methods of pedagogy, (iii) Give EAU a sense of direction and identity, (iv) Provide society with

reliable information on the quality of education offered, and (v) Promotes intra and inter- Institutional interactions.
